support.
Use an EMR / Clinical integration to import data from an electronic medical record, practice-management or oncology system, or health-information exchange. Connections belong to your organization and are configured in the Console. Olira pulls data for linked patients and writes the resulting records as logs.
Setting it up
- Connect the system under Integrations in the Console. Enter the credentials issued to your organization. Olira stores them encrypted. Some systems also require the vendor to register Olira; we coordinate that process with you.
- Select data points and a schedule. Available data points can include demographics, encounters, labs, medications, and documents.
- Wait for activation. The connection remains pending while access is verified. Once active, it runs on the selected schedule.
- Monitor sync status on the integration page, including the most recent run, imported records, and any error details.
Which patients are pulled
Olira pulls records only for patients linked to the integration. It does not create patients from the clinical system or request records for unlinked patients.
Linking associates an existing Olira patient with their record in the clinical system. A linked patient has an external identifier for that integration. A newly linked patient is included in the next pull. Unlinking stops future pulls but does not remove records already imported.
What you get
Imported records become event logs on the linked patient. They use the same log types, patient state, views, and query APIs as logs you submit directly. The available log types depend on the selected data points and are listed in the Console.
Each imported record includes provenance for the integration and data point, along with metadata.data_grade: "clinical". Use the source filter in Observability to distinguish imported chart data from patient-reported values.
